FloydFest 2010 recap

FloydFest has quickly become one of our favorite gigs of the year. We usually play two sets, met new friend and get to see some amazing music.

Here’s a day by day recap:

Friday night:
Yup, another power outage right before our set at Floyd....the beer garden was cleared, bummer. 
But once again the gang of pros running FF got a generator up and running and got the beer and stage up in an hour. We went on to a packed house and played a very high energy set.

Saturday night:
Played a four hour set on the VIP stage...they told us to keep playing so we did. JJ & AC from Mofro were digging our set.

 A father and son told us they bought FloydFest tix six months in advance to see Levon Helm...came in for a beer @ the VIP stage and skipped LH to see Soulhound!

Maggie Liebowitz, who caught our multi-hour set that night, clearly was inspired and gave us the cool artwork above. Thanks Maggie! Check out a bigger version in the “Flyers & Other Cool Pix” gallery in the Multimedia section.

Soulhound plays on NBC-WXIA 11Alive on Metromix Soundcheck 6/25

Soulhound plays Metromix Soundcheck on the NBC morning show. We'll be on around 6:15 and play thru the hour it will be rebroadcast at noon the same day.

Keyboardist / Flutist extraordinaire for the Derek Trucks Band, Yonrico Scott Band and former member of Aquarium Rescue Unit, Kofi Burbridge, sat in for Soulhound’s entire set at the 2nd annual Hoopee Jam.

Truly one of the nicest guys on the planet…Thx Kofi!

The earthquake and its aftermath in Haiti have touched all of our lives. Many of you might have already contributed as individuals, but we wanted to do something to help the victims of the horrible earthquake tragedy.

With that said, we have two opportunities we would like to share with you.
