More Free Stuff - The Basement Tapes

The issue: We have a lot of new material and have been dragging our feet on starting the recording process.

The temporary solution: The Basement Tapes page

Pretty simple concept, we rehearse, we tape it...and we’ll post the stuff that isn’t crap. Maybe some new material, funky jams, or whatever sounds good. We’ll keep adding tracks as we record them. Stream / download it and tell us what you think... whatever floats your pickle. It’s a work in progress, lets see what happens.

We want to say a quick thanks to the people that came out to the Atkins Park Smyrna show on Friday. We had a great night and debuted a new song Smile.

We also gave away a few CD’s with our Soulhound trivia question and we’d like to keep it going.

So here's how it goes: Come to a show and tell us which members of Aquarium Rescue Unit Soulhound (as a band) has played with and we'll give you a free copy of our EP "A Quickie In The Cave".

No idea? Welp, the info is all on our site - assuming you know your ARU history - and that you can find on the web easily enough.

Its an easy way to pick up our latest CD for free.

What up ‘Hound Heads?!? Doing our best to update as we can....

We just added a few dates to the calendar.

first up is a funky little spot here in the A-T-L called Krog Jam. This place is a funky kinda underground venue....oozes hipness. We’ll be ther on 4/6...more details on the shows page.

In addition to Krog Jam, an Atkins Park Tavern and Matilda’s date, we just put up a bunch of dates. We’ll be at Bigg Daddy’s in Helen on a regular basis staring in June.

What up ‘Hound Heads?!?

With all the Facebook page status updates, tweeting and checking our Myspace account to see if anyone still visits us there (answer: no, they don’t), we seemed to neglect this space.

We’ll do our best to make sure this space stays current.

A few things to catch you up:

Our second TV appearance, this time on JJ Atlanta’s show on Peachree TV here in Atlanta aired recently. We were going to upload it this week via a copy from a DVR but we are getting an HD (or at least a better) copy via the network so we’ll post it here once we get it.

We just added a few dates to the calendar. Look for us to do a regular rotation at Atkins Park Tavern and at least two dates this season at Matilda’s. Look for us to book some more dates in Helen as the weather gets warmer too.
